How to get free items on Roblox (without scams)

There are real free items on Roblox, and you don't need a generator, a survey or anyone's help to get them. Here's where to look, and what to avoid.

Find free items in the Marketplace

  1. Open the Marketplace, sometimes called the Avatar Shop.
  2. Open the filters.
  3. Set the price filter to free items.
  4. Browse the results, and add what you like to your inventory.

Menu names can change between devices. If you can't see a filter on your phone, try the website.

What kind of things are free?

  • Basic clothing, hair and accessories published by Roblox itself.
  • Items from promotions and events.
  • Rewards offered in certain games, for a limited time.
  • Items included with promo codes. See how to redeem codes.

Free outfits from xarmo

Everything in our outfit catalogue is free to download. To wear it in Roblox you'll need to upload it, and that carries a small Robux fee, so check our clothing guide first. Our faces and blank templates are free too.

Do free items cost anything later?

No, a genuinely free item stays in your inventory, and you won't be charged. If anything asks for payment details to claim something free, stop there.

When new free items appear

New items appear at events and promotions, often for a limited time. Stick to the official Marketplace and to promotions you can see on Roblox itself. If you hear about a free item from a video, check that it really appears there before clicking any link.

Are free items worth having?

Yes, for building a look without spending. Mix free hair and accessories with a clothes set, and your avatar won't look like a default. Free items aren't usually rare, and they won't hold trade value, so wear them because you like them.

Keeping track of what you've claimed

Everything you claim appears in your inventory, so you can check it's yours. Try items on in the avatar editor, and remove anything you don't like. Taking it off doesn't lose it. If an item you saw in a video isn't free when you look, the offer may have ended, so don't go hunting for a site that says otherwise.
