Codes
How to redeem Roblox codes and gift cards (and why some don't work)
There are two kinds of Roblox code. Gift cards and promo codes go in at roblox.com/redeem. Codes for one particular game are typed inside that game.
Redeem a gift card or promo code
- Open roblox.com/redeem in a web browser and log in to the account that should get the credit.
- Type the code from the card or email.
- Press Redeem. A message confirms the Robux, credit or item was added.
You can't redeem from the regular Roblox app on phones or consoles: use a web browser, even on your phone. Samsung Galaxy phones are the exception, with a Redeem tile on the app's More page.
Code says it's invalid?
Most failures are look-alike characters. Swap them and try again:
| If you typed | Try |
|---|---|
| 0 (zero) | O |
| 1 (one) | I (capital i) |
| 2 | Z |
| 5 | S |
| 6 | G or Q |
| 8 | B |
Good to know
- Codes work in every country. The value converts to your account's currency.
- Redeem several cards one at a time.
- Roblox does not refund gift cards.
- Promo codes from events and giveaways often expire quickly, so use them straight away.
Robux coins and Party Packs
Shops now sell Robux as retail codes as well as gift cards. They are redeemed the same way, at roblox.com/redeem in a browser, and give Robux only, with no bonus items.
| Product | What's inside | Each code is worth |
|---|---|---|
| Mini Pack | A bag of 40 Robux coins, each with its own PIN | 50 Robux |
| Party Pack | 25 physical gift cards | 200 Robux |
Robux go to whichever account is logged in when you redeem, so check you're on the right one first. Keep the receipt: retail codes can't be returned or refunded.
Codes for a particular game
Many games hand out their own codes for free in-game rewards. These are not entered at roblox.com/redeem. Each game decides whether it has codes and where they go, usually a codes or gift button in its own menu.
Roblox's rules for creators say a game's codes may only unlock rewards used inside that game, the reward can't have any Robux or real-money value, and the code must be published publicly, for example on the game's page or the creator's social posts. So no game code can ever give you Robux. A site or video that promises Robux codes is a scam.
Only trust codes the game's creator posts. See our Roblox codes page for where codes really come from, and the games directory for each game's official page.
