Best Roblox games: how to find one you'll love
There are so many Roblox games that the hard part is choosing. Start with what's popular right now, then narrow it down by what you and your friends enjoy.
See what's popular now
Our Roblox games page shows trending games with real player numbers from Roblox, updated by hand. It's a good way to see what people are actually playing, rather than what a list says they should. For something quick, try our game picker.
Pick by mood
| If you want | Try |
|---|---|
| Something scary | Horror and survival games |
| To hang out | Roleplay games |

Choosing for younger players
- Check the content label before they play.
- Remember that Roblox Kids shows reviewed games only.
- Play a game together first.
- Use parental controls to block a game if you need to.
How to tell if a game is good
- It's fun within five minutes.
- It doesn't push you to spend straight away.
- It's had a recent update.
- The player count is steady, not a single spike.
- Your friends want to keep playing.
Try before you spend
Most games are free to join, so there's no need to commit. Give a new game ten minutes, and leave if it isn't fun. Avoid paying for game passes until you've played long enough to know that you'll keep coming back.
Looking the part

The main kinds of games
- Obbies: obstacle courses, and a great place to start.
- Roleplay: pretend to live a different life with other players.
- Tycoons: build up a business step by step.
- Simulators: collect, upgrade and repeat.
- Horror: short, scary sessions, best with friends.
- Shooters and fighting games: fast and competitive.
Playing with friends
Join one friend first, then the rest can follow from their friends list. Short round-based games tend to work best for groups, because nobody's left behind. If you often play together, a private server keeps you away from strangers. Roblox Plus includes free private servers in supported games.
Why lists go out of date
Popular games can change within weeks, so any fixed top-ten list dates quickly. That's why we show real numbers with the date they were checked, rather than telling you what's best forever.
