Fix it
Is Roblox down? How to check, and what to try when it won't load
When Roblox won't load, the first question is whether the problem is Roblox or your device. Two minutes of checks usually tell you.
Check the official status page
Roblox publishes live service status at status.roblox.com. If it shows an incident, the problem is on Roblox's side and the only fix is to wait.
If Roblox says everything is fine
- Try a different game. If only one game fails, that game is having problems.
- Close Roblox completely and open it again.
- Restart your device and your router.
- Try another network. School and work networks often block games.
- Update or reinstall Roblox: see how to update Roblox.
Error codes
Roblox shows a numbered error when something fails, such as 280 for an out-of-date app. Roblox keeps a list of error codes and their fixes in its Help Centre.
Account problems are different
If you can play but your account is locked, banned or your item was removed, that is moderation, not an outage. Read how to check your account status and appeal.
