Roblox account status: moderation, bans and how to appeal
If your account was banned or an item you made was removed, you can usually ask Roblox to take a second look. Timing matters.
Start with the notification
Roblox's moderation message tells you which appeal route applies to you: Violations & Appeals or the Roblox Support form. Follow the one it names.
Appeal through Violations & Appeals
- Open the Violations & Appeals link in the notification.
- Choose Appeal and explain briefly why the decision should be looked at again.
- Check back there to see the status.
Appeal through the support form
- For an account: your username and a short statement explaining the appeal.
- For content: your username, a short statement, the asset ID and a link to the item on the Roblox website. See Roblox IDs explained to find the ID.
Rules that catch people out
- Appeal within 30 days of the moderation. EU users have 6 months.
- Each decision is reviewed once. Duplicate appeals are not reviewed.
- Only the account owner can appeal, from the account's own email address.
- An appeal is a second look, not a guarantee. Most removed content can't be restored.
