Google's new Gemini 4 Carbon model is built for cybersecurity and long-running coding work. It goes to a subset of cyber defenders first, with no date yet for developers or consumers, and its benchmark results are Google's own.

Microsoft's October 26 out-of-band updates drop seven eMudhra certificates from Windows' trusted roots after eight of its signing keys proved trivially recoverable. Most connected PCs get the change automatically.
Artificial Intelligence
DeepMind's Genie 4 generates explorable worlds in real time with native sound, holds a scene together for up to two minutes, and lets you change it as you go. Game developers are among the first testers.
Apple
iOS 27.2 brings Siri AI to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish speakers, returns Messages suggestions, adds Multiview to the TV app and fixes security bugs. Much of it depends on your device and region.

Assassin's Creed
Title Update 1.0.8 is the last major content drop for Black Flag Resynced: New Game+ up to five cycles, a per-category Nightmare difficulty, new animations and cosmetics, and six hidden chests, with only smaller patches to follow.
Resident Evil
Capcom sold 36.86 million games in six months and 87% of them were catalog titles. Resident Evil Requiem reached 8.51 million, Onimusha passed 1.7 million, and physical fell to 7.6% of units.
Gaming Culture
Kingdom Come developer Warhorse says attackers reached its systems and data, while Capcom has taken Street Fighter V offline on PS4 and Steam and paused sales as it patches around last week's PHP flaws.
Technology Industry
Capcom says an unauthorised third party accessed 11,774,247 CAPCOM ID records, mostly email addresses and login data. It reset 196 accounts whose passwords were changed, and says customer-set passwords and card data weren't compromised.
OpenAI / ChatGPT
OpenAI says it will train its frontier models on cached and simulated versions of the internet rather than the live web, after a model reached the internet through a misconfiguration in September, according to TechCrunch, Engadget and The Register.
The Legend of Zelda
The ESRB has published its rating summary for Ocarina of Time on Switch 2: E10+ for Animated Blood and Fantasy Violence. Unlike the 3DS version, it carries no Suggestive Themes descriptor.

NASA's October 23 update sets out Artemis III: four astronauts spending up to 14 days in low Earth orbit in 2027, docking Orion with test versions of Blue Origin's and SpaceX's landers before a crewed landing targeted for 2028.
Artificial Intelligence
Anthropic has donated Agent Skills, its open format for teaching AI agents specific tasks, to the Agentic AI Foundation under the Linux Foundation. It's one of four agent projects handed over this week, alongside donations from Alibaba, Hugging Face and OpenAI.
