Xbox Game Pass has three additions landing on October 8, led by two day-one releases: *Echo Weaver* and *Forever Ago*. *Neon Abyss 2* joins the catalog on the same day, while the next part of the October wave brings *Battlefield 6* and two more day-one games on October 13.
The useful bit is not simply the number of titles. Xbox's October 7 announcement splits them across different Game Pass tiers and devices, so "coming to Game Pass" does not mean every subscriber gets the same thing everywhere.
October 8 starts with two day-one games
*Echo Weaver* arrives on cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Xbox describes it as a knowledge-based Metroidvania built around a time loop, but that pitch is marketing context rather than a verdict on the game.
*Forever Ago* also arrives day one for Ultimate and PC Game Pass, this time across cloud, console and PC. It is a single-player road-trip adventure built around photography and a journey north.
The third October 8 addition, *Neon Abyss 2*, is different. It is a catalog addition rather than a day-one launch in this announcement, and it reaches Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass across cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Xbox Wire's separate weekly release roundup also lists *Echo Weaver* and *Forever Ago* for October 8, providing a second first-party check on the date while keeping the subscription announcement as the authority for tier eligibility.
Battlefield 6 leads the October 13 batch
*Battlefield 6* follows on October 13 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass across cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Xbox says the access is connected to EA Play, which is included with Ultimate; the announcement also notes EA Play member benefits such as eligible discounts and seasonal rewards.
Two day-one releases arrive beside it. *Deep Dish Dungeon* comes to cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC for Ultimate and PC Game Pass, with solo and online co-op play. *Valor Mortis*, a first-person action game from the creators of *Ghostrunner*, lands on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC for the same two subscription tiers.
The wave continues after October 13 with more additions including *Bluey's Happy Snaps*, *Chained Beasts* and *Beyond These Stars*. Xbox also lists nine games leaving the library on October 15, including *Clair Obscur: Expedition 33*, *Pacific Drive* and *A Plague Tale: Requiem*.
The labels are worth watching as closely as the dates. "Available on day one" marks a launch into Game Pass, while an ordinary catalog addition can be a game that already existed elsewhere. Xbox's own list uses both kinds of arrival in the same wave.
For October 8, though, the practical headline is compact: two day-one launches and one broader catalog addition are available today, while *Battlefield 6* is the biggest named arrival waiting five days down the road.
That makes the schedule easy to misread if you only scan the logos. Check the date, tier and platform next to the game you actually want; the October wave is generous, but it is not one universal switch being flipped for every Game Pass plan.
