Helldivers 2's Ironclad Democracy Warbond rolls out September 22

Ironclad Democracy arrives September 22 with three weapons, anti-tank throwables, knockdown-resistant armor, two boosters and tank-only patterns.

Helldivers 2 is getting a new Premium Warbond on September 22. Ironclad Democracy is built around heavy armor, anti-tank tools and the sort of equipment names that sound like Super Earth let a weapons catalog write its own propaganda.

Arrowhead's September 15 announcement confirms three new guns, two throwables, two armor sets with a new passive, two boosters and a first for Premium Warbonds: paint patterns made specifically for tanks.

The joke-heavy presentation is pure Helldivers. The loadout details underneath it are concrete.

Three weapons cover three very different jobs

The AR-11 Arbitrator is an assault rifle with an electrical firing mechanism, caseless ammunition and an underslung shotgun. That gives the primary weapon a built-in close-range option without asking players to dedicate a separate support slot to it.

The GL-15 Evictor is a pump-action grenade launcher. Arrowhead describes it as trading precision for area damage, with a manual single-round reload that should make shot placement and reload timing important. The P-34 Breacher is a secondary missile pistol firing sticky projectiles powered by phosphorous fuel before an explosive finish.

Ironclad Democracy also adds the G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker, a smart grenade drone carrying an anti-armor payload, and the G-8 Immolation grenade for creating an area of fire.

Those descriptions explain the intended roles, but they are not balance verdicts. Damage breakpoints, ammo economy and whether any of these tools become squad staples will depend on the live numbers and how players use them after September 22.

The armor passive is about staying on your feet

The two armor sets are the BFM-16 Tanker Light Armor and BFM-220 Ironclad Heavy Armor. Both use the new Blunt-Force Mitigation passive.

Arrowhead says the passive makes Helldivers more resistant to being knocked down under attack, reduces impact and collision damage by 30%, and provides a higher armor rating. That is a more specific promise than the usual Warbond fashion pitch: it is aimed at surviving displacement and physical punishment rather than boosting weapon handling.

Two boosters add more squad utility. Integrated Extinguishers reduces the time needed to put out flames, while Surplus EAT Allocation grants two free uses of the Expendable Anti-Tank Stratagem per mission. Arrowhead notes that this is enough for a four-player squad to receive one single-use launcher each if the equipment is distributed accordingly.

Then there are the cosmetics. Ironclad Democracy includes two capes and matching player cards, the Helmet Durability Check emote, the Treadhead title, and three tank-exclusive patterns: Verdant camouflage, Glacial polymer and Executive onyx.

That tank treatment is the genuinely unusual cosmetic addition. It extends Warbond customization beyond the Helldiver wearing the gear and onto a vehicle category, which fits the whole armored-column theme without pretending a paint scheme changes combat performance.

Ironclad Democracy requires the base game, Super Credits and game progression to unlock. Arrowhead has confirmed the September 22 rollout and the contents above; it has not provided the kind of live combat evidence needed to rank the new weapons before release.

So the sensible read is straightforward. This Warbond is for players who like explosives, anti-armor options and resisting knockdowns, with vehicle cosmetics as the odd little bonus. Whether it is efficient, overpowered or merely spectacularly loud is a question for the live battlefield, not the reveal trailer.
