Pokémon GO is closing out its Twilight Trails season with a sky full of stars and a wardrobe full of celestial accessories. The game's team has detailed Twilight Wishes, an event that runs from Tuesday, November 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, November 30, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, according to the official Pokémon GO announcement.
The headline acts are dressed for the occasion: Pikachu in sun and moon crowns, Espeon in a sun scarf, and Umbreon in a moon scarf. Here is what is coming, and what costs money.
Wild encounters and shiny odds
The announcement says event-themed Pokémon will show up in the wild, including Clefairy, Staryu and Elgyem, and players "might even encounter Rockruff." All four can be shiny. The event also raises the chance of encountering Shiny Staryu and Shiny Elgyem, so those two are the ones to keep tapping.
The map gets a makeover too: stars will light up the skies for the week.
Raids
The raid line-up, per the Pokémon GO team:
- One-Star raids: Pikachu wearing a sun crown and Pikachu wearing a moon crown.
- Three-Star raids: Espeon wearing a sun scarf and Umbreon wearing a moon scarf.
- Mega raids: Mega Beedrill, Mega Houndoom, Mega Sableye and Mega Manectric.
Every Pokémon on that list can appear as a shiny, according to the announcement.
Field Research and the season finale
Event-themed Field Research tasks will hand out Mega Energy and encounters with event Pokémon such as Staryu and Elgyem. Twilight Trails began on September 8 and ends on December 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time, according to a season overview on Pokemon.com, which also named Maschiff and Mabosstiff as the season's Paldea debuts. Because Twilight Wishes is the finale, the team is bringing back Pokémon from across the season as research encounters, in two waves:
- November 24, 10:00 a.m. to November 26, 10:00 a.m.: Applin and Maschiff.
- November 26, 10:00 a.m. to November 30, 8:00 p.m.: Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume, Drifblim wearing a Halloween Mischief costume, and Bramblin.
Applin and both costumed Pokémon can be shiny; the announcement doesn't mark Maschiff or Bramblin that way.
The GO Pass, free and paid
Twilight Wishes comes with its own GO Pass, which every player receives automatically on November 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Players collect GO Points from Pass Tasks to rank up until the event ends. Two milestones unlock bonuses:
- Rank 1: a higher chance of Lucky Pokémon in trades and of becoming Lucky Friends.
- Rank 10: 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon, or 3× Stardust with the GO Pass Deluxe.
Free rewards include event encounters, a Star Piece, a Rare Candy and Mega Energy for Beedrill, Houndoom, Sableye and Manectric. The team says more bonus tasks will be added during the event.
The paid upgrade, GO Pass Deluxe, costs US$4.99 and adds more encounters, an event-themed avatar pose, Star Pieces and Premium Battle Passes, along with faster progress. A US$6.99 version, GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks, also gives enough GO Points to reach Rank 7 straight away. Prices are in US dollars or the matching local price tier, and the announcement notes that availability may vary by region. Upgrading late is fine: you still collect rewards from ranks you had already unlocked.
Buying the Deluxe on the Pokémon GO Web Store adds a gift of 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, five Max Potions and a Premium Battle Pass (two Premium Battle Passes with the +6 Ranks version), and there is also a web-exclusive Ultra Box bundle with a bigger stack of items.
One date to remember: rewards unlocked in the GO Pass expire on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, so claim them before then. The team also notes that upcoming events are subject to change.
Riley's take: Twilight Wishes is a dress-up party with a Stardust bonus attached, and that is a perfectly good way to end a season. The Rank 10 Stardust boost is free, so the paid pass is optional rather than essential. The real draw for me is the finale research, which gathers Pokémon from across the season, costumed Gengar and Drifblim included, into one last week.
