Into the Radius 2 hits PS VR2 on September 24

Into the Radius 2 launches on PS VR2 September 24 with a full solo campaign, native 90FPS and PS VR2 features; two-player co-op is planned for Q4.

Into the Radius 2 is coming to PlayStation VR2 on September 24, 2026. CM Immersive says the PS VR2 version will launch with a complete single-player campaign, while two-player co-op is planned as a free update in the fourth quarter of 2026.

That split is worth noting because the game already exists on PC. Steam lists Into the Radius 2 as having left Early Access and released on April 23, 2026, with single-player and online co-op features. The PlayStation version is arriving later with its own launch scope, so players should not assume every multiplayer feature from the PC listing will be present on PS VR2 on day one.

What the PS VR2 version includes at launch

The PlayStation Blog announcement focuses heavily on physical interaction. Players can configure chest rigs, armor vests and backpacks, swap modular weapon parts such as barrels, stocks, optics, grips and magazines, and maintain individual components as they accumulate wear and dirt. CM Immersive says neglected weapons can jam, making preparation part of the survival loop rather than just an inventory screen.

The sequel again takes place in the Pechorsk Anomaly, with hostile entities, environmental hazards and periodic Tide events changing the state of locations. The developer describes enemies that use cover or flank, anomalies that can deliver electrical shocks or shrapnel, and distortion zones that require protective headgear.

On PS VR2, the studio says the game will run at a native 90 frames per second and use eye-tracked foveated rendering. It is also using Sense controller adaptive triggers, controller and headset haptics, and 3D Audio. Those features are specific reasons for the port to matter beyond simply adding another storefront: they connect weapon handling, impacts and positional sound to hardware that the PC version cannot assume every player owns. They also make the PS VR2 release a distinct technical version, not just a delayed listing of the PC build.

Co-op comes after the September launch

The September 24 release is being framed as a single-player launch. CM Immersive says a free update in Q4 2026 will add two-player co-op on PS VR2, allowing a second player to enter the Anomaly and coordinate resources and sightlines.

That is different from the current Steam listing, which advertises online co-op for the PC version and describes play with up to three friends. The safest comparison is therefore platform-specific: PC already has its own co-op implementation, while PlayStation is scheduled to receive a two-player mode after launch.

For anyone deciding whether to jump into the PS VR2 version immediately, the main question is straightforward. If the solo campaign and hardware-specific presentation are the draw, September 24 is the date to watch. If co-op is essential, the developer has only committed to a Q4 2026 window so far, not a precise day.

CM Immersive has not announced a change to that schedule in the PlayStation post. The next milestone after launch will be the free co-op update, and the useful detail to watch will be whether the studio narrows that Q4 window as September approaches.
