The change in Forza Horizon 6's City Life update that matters most for your progress isn't a car. It's that cars now cost less. Starting with this series, Playground Games has cut the Festival Playlist PTS needed to unlock new cars, and Forza's update post says that came from community feedback, to make new cars easier to earn for all players, including people without access to the game's online content.
The update went out on November 2 for Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on PC and Steam, and the City Life Festival Playlist followed on November 5. Forza's post doesn't say how big the cut is.
The bit you might miss
Here's the catch if you've been grinding stunts: the PR Stunt leaderboards have been wiped. All of them. Danger Signs, Drift Zones, Speed Zones, Trailblazers and Speed Traps start clean.
Playground says this update fixes glitches that could be exploited to post unrealistic PR Stunt scores, and it acknowledges the reset will disappoint anyone with legitimate scores. It flagged the wipe back in its July 13 release notes, so it's not out of nowhere.
Your rewards are safe, though. Records posted to earn the associated Collection Journal items stay unlocked.
What's new on the road
Tokyo City gets two permanent race routes: the Edo Circuit Road Race and the Shuto Charge Street Race. The Edamame Time Attack Circuit, first seen in the Horizon Mascot Party update, also returns to the Horizon Stadium for this series.
The Playlist adds three cars new to Horizon: the 2016 Honda S660 Alpha, the 2025 Citroën Ami and the 1987 Fiat Panda. Yes, the Ami is here, and both it and the Honda get body kit upgrades. Two old friends come back too, the 2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde and the 1966 Hillman Imp.
Watch the dates, because the cars rotate. The S660 takes 60 PTS and is available from November 5 to December 3, but the others cost 15 PTS and get one week each: the Ami until November 12, the Giulietta from November 12 to 19, the Panda from November 19 to 26 and the Imp from November 26 to December 3.
Small fixes worth knowing
There's a handy new filter in the Garage and Autoshow menus. Switch it on and it shows the restrictions used in the active Playlist, so you can see which cars qualify before you buy or drive one.
Solo Seasonal Championships on the Playlist now use your chosen difficulty as well. And if you logged on but couldn't finish the seventh Daily Challenge in Series 6 Week 1, or the third part of the Weekly Challenge in Series 5 Week 4, those points are being awarded retroactively.
IKEA and Halo
Custom Garage builders get the IKEA Prop Pack, with 35 furniture props tied to Xbox and IKEA's gaming collection, including KALLAX shelving and BILLY bookcases.
The 25 Years of Xbox and Halo stuff is where you'll need some patience. Forza says a special livery for the 2025 GR GT Prototype is going to all players through the Message Center, and the Master Chief Outfit unlocks through the Week 2 Photo Challenge. Pure Xbox reported that neither had arrived when it published on November 6, so don't panic if your inbox looks empty. It also says it received a separate Master Chief livery for the Lamborghini Urus.
One more for the completionists: find 15 Gashapon Machine Collectibles at Daikoku in Week 2 and you'll earn the Halo Shield Recharge Car Horn.
