Gameloft Brisbane takes Bluey and Bingo on a photography adventure through their home city, with a scrapbook, puzzles and an optional second player.

Bluey and Bingo have found another reason to explore Brisbane, and this time the souvenir is a photograph. Bluey's Happy Snaps launches on October 15, sending the animated sisters around familiar places with Dad's old camera. The goal is to capture moments, collect memories and add them to a personal scrapbook, rather than race against a timer or defeat a boss.

The game is made by Gameloft Brisbane in Bluey's hometown, working with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios. That local connection matters to the setting: Gameloft describes recognisable Brisbane locations, Australian wildlife and everyday details inspired by the show. The announcement is specific about the game's premise and platform availability, but it does not prove how young players will respond without actual playtesting.

A family photo album as a game

Bluey's Happy Snaps gives the camera a central role. Bluey and Bingo visit settings associated with the series and take photos of the things they discover. Those images are then placed in an in-game scrapbook, turning small moments and discoveries into something that can be revisited.

Gameloft also highlights activities, toys, familiar faces and opportunities for creativity. The idea fits the television show's emphasis on imaginative play, but the game is not just a playable episode. Photographing and assembling memories creates a flexible objective for a player who wants to explore at their own pace.

The title can be played alone or with a second player, according to the announcement. That makes it a candidate for adults and children to enjoy together, though buyers should confirm the exact second-controller and local-play requirements for their selected platform. A two-player option is not a promise of online co-op on every system.

There is also a connection between the digital adventure and activities away from the console. Gameloft says several physical versions include activity cards, with limited editions adding stickers or a separate activity book. These are version-specific extras, not standard accessories bundled with every digital copy.

For families making a purchase, edition differences are important. The basic digital game is not the same package as a deluxe or physical activity-book edition. Gameloft's September release announcement describes limited preorder incentives, including certain deluxe content offered at the standard edition price on eligible digital platforms. Because those windows are time-limited, they should not be treated as an ongoing discount after release.

Where and how to play on October 15

The publisher lists Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC storefronts among the launch options. Availability may vary by platform, storefront and physical versus digital edition. In Japan, Gameloft specified a later date for some physical versions, even though the digital release was dated October 15.

For Xbox subscribers, the important label is Game Pass. Gameloft says Bluey's Happy Snaps is included on day one with eligible Game Pass access and supports Xbox Play Anywhere. These are different benefits: the first concerns a subscription entitlement, while the second concerns buying a supported Xbox and PC licence. Neither automatically makes a paid game permanently free.

Xbox's October 9 release calendar separately lists Bluey's Happy Snaps for October 15, supporting the date and those platform features. Families should still check the signed-in store page to confirm the available subscription tier, age guidance and exact price for their region.

The strongest appeal here is the simplicity of the activity. Taking pictures is something Bluey viewers can understand without a long explanation, and a scrapbook gives the adventure a visible record of what they found. Whether the final game captures the show's humour and warmth is a question for players and reviewers, but the October 15 launch and photography premise are clear.
