PS Plus perks arrive in the UK, France and Germany, with discounts and free trials

Eight offers are live for every PS Plus tier in three countries. Most of the free trials are for new customers, and some roll into paid plans.

A row of softly glowing gift boxes and crystal tokens floats above a calm blue dusk landscape.

PS Plus members in the UK, France and Germany just picked up a stack of discounts and free trials, and they work on every tier. That's the good bit. The useful bit is further down the page, because a few of these offers have catches that are easy to miss.

Push Square reports that Sony announced the perks through the official PlayStation UK account on X. The details are on PlayStation's perks page, which is where the terms below come from. The page says accounts have to be based in one of those three countries, so if you're elsewhere, there's nothing to claim for now.

What's on the list

Eight offers are live on the page, and the first three save you money on hardware:

  • 5% off consoles and accessories bought directly from PlayStation, for UK accounts, on a limited trial until 31 March 2027
  • £10 off a DualSense controller bought directly from PlayStation, with one code per member
  • 10% off selected gaming and wireless speaker products on Sony Store sites in the three countries, until 31 December 2026
  • YouTube Premium free for three months, redeemed by 1 November 2027
  • Calm Premium free for two months, through 13 September 2027
  • One movie credit on Sony Pictures Core, redeemed and used by 1 October 2027
  • Audible at £0.99 a month for three months, until 4 November 2027
  • 20% off DAZN Ultimate for 12 months, until 25 January 2027

The first two stack, too. The page says the £10 DualSense code can only be combined with the 5% console discount, so that's the one combo worth doing if you were buying both. One small oddity: the DualSense terms still show an unfilled "[DATE]" placeholder where the validity dates should be, so the end date is unclear.

The fine print worth reading

The headline trials are mostly for newcomers. YouTube Premium's three months are off the table if you've ever had Premium, Music Premium or Premium Lite, or tried any of them. After the trial it renews at the standard price, listed at £12.99 a month for the UK, unless you cancel.

Calm isn't for anyone who's already had a Calm Premium trial, and when the two months end it rolls into a one-year subscription at the then-current price unless you cancel. Set a reminder if you're only there for the freebie.

Audible rules out existing members, anyone in a trial, and anyone who was a member in the past six months. DAZN covers new and existing subscribers, but it has a 12-month minimum term and auto-renews unless you switch that off first. Several offers, including YouTube Premium, Audible and DAZN, also can't be combined with other deals.

How to claim

Push Square says to go to the perks page, sign in with your PSN account and hit "Unlock Offer" on whatever you want. The page's terms treat the 5% discount differently: it applies at checkout for eligible UK accounts, and it excludes digital games, subscriptions, pre-orders and Flex leasing. Offers can only be claimed while your membership is active, and the page says new members may need to wait 24 to 48 hours. You can still use perks during a PS Plus free trial, and any tier counts, so Essential gets the same list as Premium.

The page doesn't mention other countries, and no wider rollout has been confirmed in anything we read.
