Fire Emblem Heroes has launched a Fortune's Weave celebration that brings characters from the new Nintendo Switch 2 game into the mobile title alongside summoning events, login bonuses and limited-time quests.

Nintendo's September 18 update names four featured heroes: Entwined Hero Cai, Attuned Hero Theodora, Dietrich and Leda. They appear in a new 5-star summoning focus, while a separate free summoning event lets players choose a 5-star Hero. The crossover arrives as Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave itself reaches Switch 2.

Four Fortune's Weave heroes lead the event

For Heroes players, the main attraction is the new character pool. Cai and Theodora arrive in special hero forms, with Dietrich and Leda joining them in the same launch celebration. Nintendo is also attaching the usual event scaffolding around the banner, including login rewards and quests.

The update is clearly designed to introduce the cast of Fortune's Weave to people who may know Fire Emblem mainly through the mobile game. Nintendo's Switch 2 release material describes Fortune's Weave as a new tactical RPG centred on four interwoven journeys across time, with the heroes working to prevent the return of the demon god Balor from destroying the future.

That makes the Heroes event a small bridge between the two games rather than a substitute for the new release. The mobile title is free-to-start and built around collecting and deploying heroes in shorter tactical battles, while Fortune's Weave is a full Switch 2 RPG.

The promotion extends beyond one banner

Nintendo says the celebration also includes additional login bonuses, quests and other in-game rewards, with full details available inside Fire Emblem Heroes. That wording is worth taking literally: the news post is a summary, so players trying to optimise summons or complete every limited objective should check the live event notices for exact end times and reward conditions.

The company is also running a broader Fortune's Weave promotional push around the console launch, including My Nintendo activity and other themed rewards. Those promotions have their own eligibility rules and schedules and should not be confused with the Heroes summoning event.

For lapsed Fire Emblem Heroes players, this is a straightforward reason to open the game and see how the new cast has been adapted. For people starting with Fortune's Weave on Switch 2, it is more of a companion event: a chance to collect familiar characters in a different tactical format.

Nintendo has not framed the update as a permanent expansion to Heroes. As with most mobile-game events, the safe assumption is that the featured bonuses and summoning opportunities are time-limited unless an individual notice says otherwise. The key point for September 18 is simple: Cai, Theodora, Dietrich and Leda have arrived in Fire Emblem Heroes, and the mobile game is now part of Nintendo's launch-week celebration for Fortune's Weave.

Fortune's Weave launched as a standalone Switch 2 entry, so newcomers do not need prior series knowledge to understand the console game's premise. That also helps explain the mobile crossover: Heroes can introduce the new faces without requiring its audience to have followed an older Fire Emblem storyline first.
