Marvel and DC superhero skins in Minecraft: what is official
Searching for a Spider-Man, Iron Man, Batman or Superman skin turns up thousands of uploads. Here is what Mojang has actually released, what you can still get, and how to make a hero of your own.
The short answer
Official Marvel and DC skins have only ever come from Mojang’s own skin packs, licensed from the companies that own the characters. The two classic Marvel packs are no longer sold. The most recent official superhero pack was a free Superman Skin Pack released on the Minecraft Marketplace in July 2025.
Everything else you find, on skin sites and in video tutorials, is fan-made: drawn by players, not licensed by Marvel, DC or Mojang.
Official superhero packs
| Pack | What was in it | Can you get it now? |
|---|---|---|
| Marvel Avengers Skin Pack | 35 skins of Avengers heroes and villains | No. Sold on the old console editions from December 2013, removed from sale on 21 December 2015. Only players who already owned it kept it when moving to Bedrock. |
| Marvel Spider-Man Skin Pack | 35 skins of Spider-Man heroes and villains | No. Sold on the old console editions from April 2014, removed from sale on 21 December 2015. Same rule: previous owners only. |
| Superman Skin Pack | 5 skins: Superman, Lois Lane, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific, from the 2025 film | Released free on the Minecraft Marketplace in July 2025 for Bedrock. Search the Marketplace for Superman Skin Pack to see whether it is still listed. |
How to check the Marketplace on Bedrock
- Open Minecraft (Bedrock) and sign in with your Microsoft account, so anything you get stays with your account.
- Choose Marketplace, then search for the hero or the pack name.
- Official licensed packs show the publisher and the price, or Free. If a pack you remember does not appear, it is no longer for sale.
- Marketplace skin packs are for Bedrock only. Java players can’t install Marketplace packs.
What about fan-made Spider-Man or Batman skins?
Skin sites host thousands of player-made versions of famous heroes. They are drawn by fans, the characters still belong to Marvel and DC, and sites remove them when the owners ask. Use them for your own game if you like, but know they are not official, and never pay for an unofficial copy of a licensed character.
xarmo doesn’t make copies of Marvel or DC characters. We draw our own heroes instead.
