GTA Online starts a month of Halloween events with triple-reward Survivals and a GTA$2M challenge

GTA Online's October Halloween programme brings triple-reward Survivals, returning horror modes and five weekly challenges leading to an extra GTA$2 million.

GTA Online has started its October Halloween programme, and Rockstar is treating the whole month as one escalating event rather than a single themed week.

Halloween Survivals are paying triple GTA$ and RP, familiar Slasher modes are back in rotation, Ghosts Exposed returns, and five weekly challenges lead to an extra GTA$2 million bonus for players who complete the full set.

Five weekly challenges build toward the GTA$2 million bonus

The weekly track starts on October 1–7 with a requirement to secure two Bail Office Bounties. Rockstar lists a Green Vintage Skull Mask and GTA$100,000 as the reward.

From October 8–14, winning two Adversary Modes earns the Pink Skull Emissive Mask and GTA$100,000. October 15–21 switches to three Race wins for an Orange Glow Skeleton Onesie and another GTA$100,000.

The final two challenges get more survival-focused. Completing all waves of a Survival from October 22–28 awards the Gray Space Interloper Outfit and GTA$150,000. From October 29 through November 4, completing 10 Survival waves without dying earns the Slasher Clown Outfit and GTA$250,000.

Finishing all five challenges adds another GTA$2 million, which Rockstar says is delivered within 72 hours of completion. That makes the overall structure easier to read than the usual pile of weekly bonuses: there is a month-long objective running underneath the individual reward windows.

Survivals, Slashers and Ghosts Exposed carry the Halloween theme

Rockstar says all Halloween Survivals are paying 3X GTA$ and RP during the event. That includes Alien Survivals, Cayo Perico Survival and the returning Ludendorff Cemetery Survival, which brings players back to snowy North Yankton to fight waves of enemies.

Slasher activities and the broader Halloween Featured Series also return, while Ghosts Exposed gives players another seasonal activity built around finding paranormal apparitions. The San Andreas Super Sport Series is part of the wider October rotation as well.

The event also brings back the usual Los Santos Halloween dressing: strange encounters, spooky apparel and other limited-time pieces appear across the month. Those extras are useful flavour, but the more important player-facing structure is the reward schedule and the triple-payout Survivals.

There is one date worth keeping straight. The weekly challenge sequence extends through November 4 even though Rockstar is framing this as its October Halloween programme. Players aiming for the GTA$2 million completion bonus therefore need to follow all five windows rather than assuming everything finishes on Halloween night.

For anyone deciding where to spend time, the first week is comparatively light because the challenge only asks for two Bail Office Bounties. The later weeks move into wins and full Survival clears, with the final challenge adding the no-death condition.

Rockstar has run Halloween events in GTA Online for years, but this version gives returning players a clearer month-long checklist. The rewards change week by week, the horror modes are back, and the big cash bonus only arrives if the whole sequence is completed.

The event therefore rewards both short weekly visits and a longer commitment across the full calendar, rather than concentrating every useful bonus into one weekend.
