Honkai: Star Rail version 4.7 arrives on November 11, and the headline act is a big one: Aeon ★ Aha becomes a playable character. If you're after the livestream codes, they run out at 4pm GMT on October 31, so check the list below first.
HoYoverse announced the update on October 30, according to 4Gamer, alongside a preview broadcast the same day. We couldn't load HoYoverse's own announcement page, so the details below are credited to 4Gamer, GamesRadar+ and Gematsu, which reported on it.
First, the codes
If you play, do this before anything else. GamesRadar+ reports three redemption codes revealed during the "Now, Lay Laughter to All Stars" special program:
- NEVERGONNAGIVE: 100 Stellar Jade and 50,000 Credits
- NEVERGONNAMAKE: 100 Stellar Jade and 5 Traveler's Guides
- AHABLESSYOU: 100 Stellar Jade and 4 Refined Aether
GamesRadar+ says they are valid until Saturday, October 31 at 9am PDT, 12 noon EDT or 4pm GMT. Depending on where and when you're reading this, they may already have expired.
Aha joins the roster
Gematsu gives the version's English title as "Now, Lay Laughter to All Stars", the same name GamesRadar+ uses for the special program. 4Gamer reports the update brings the current story arc to its final stage, with the Trailblazer and Aha facing an ancient beast, and that Aha is the first Aeon to become playable.
Gematsu lists Aha as a limited five-star on the Path of Elation, and 4Gamer adds that Aha is a Quantum character voiced in Japanese by Haruka Tomatsu. 4Gamer says Aha strengthens allies who walk the Elation Path and can cut enemies' maximum HP with allied attacks, and Gematsu likewise reports that ally attacks can reduce enemy Max HP. Gematsu says the whole team builds a resource called Wishpower during battle, and that a full gauge powers an Ultimate dealing Elation damage to all enemies.
The free pick, and a new upgrade system
This is the bit worth circling. 4Gamer reports that an event during version 4.7 lets players choose one of Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae or Jing Yuan for free, along with one Affinitive Eidolon of their choice.
Affinitive Eidolons are a new system. 4Gamer describes them as a way to unlock extra skills that strengthen characters, and Gematsu calls Affinitive Eidolon a brand-new growth system: once players own the designated characters and unlock their corresponding Affinitive Eidolons, those characters gain new additional abilities in combat. Per Gematsu, Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan will be the first to be enhanced by them. So the freebie and the new system look built to work together.
